Orchestral Art Music

Described by Diane Wittry as “very musical,” Chicagoland orchestral conductor Jennifer Crosby is becoming one of the go to conductors in the area. Whether it’s sectional coaching, under-conducting, or managing things off stage, Jennifer brings a wealth of eclectic professional knowledge to each project she’s brought into. Bringing people together for experiencing music is a passion for Jennifer as she continues with her third year as the conductor and curator of the Ridgeville Strings in Evanston, where the class explores music alongside praxial endeavors. Equally comfortable with large, small, or string orchestra, Jennifer is known in the area for her careful and conscientious work with soloists. Helping the orchestra be ready for heads up playing and helping to craft the soloist’s ideas into reality in a team environment is one of her hallmarks. Jennifer has worked with numerous groups across the Chicagoland area including Tenuto Chamber Orchestra, Music Institute of Chicago Academy Strings, Community Music at DePaul University, Evanston Symphony, various High Schools, Music House Chicago, Midwest Young Artist, Ravinia El Sistema, Ridgeville Strings, & various theater groups.
